RENT-A-CRATE has been the market leader in plastic moving boxes in Gauteng since 2019.
Our idea came about after moving home a number of times and realising there had to be a better way than using flimsy cardboard boxes that had to be taped, frequently fell apart and then disposed of once we had moved in to our new home.
So a search begun for a better alternative of which there was nothing available so we designed our own product range and RENT-A-CRATE was born!
Our RENT-A-CRATE box system has been designed to make your life easier. By providing you with our custom plastic packing boxes, a range of moving dollies and trollies along with eco friendly packing supplies we have made moving easy. By using our range of moving boxes you you will also be doing your bit for the environment.

At Rent-A-Crate we know how stressful moving can be which is why we're committed to make your move as easy as possible!
Established in 2019 in Gauteng, Rent-A-Crate was the first company to introduce reusable moving crates in South Africa to offer a sustainable and more convenient solution than cardboard boxes.
Our service is available across the Greater Gauteng Province.
We have many customers moving home or office that have used our services repeatedly over past years.

How to Use
Rent-a-crate’s interlocking crates and skates are specifically designed to make your move as easy as possible.
Place one empty crate onto a skate.
Pack to the fill line and close the lid.
Place the second empty crate on top of the first full crate, fitting it snugly between the interlocking notches. Repeat the packing steps, up to 4 crates depending on the weight.
For ease of use write contents on the pre-applied labels.
You can roll the stack away when ready.
